"Stepping out of one’s comfort zone can be scary. That first step is often the hardest. The question then might be, Is our desire for change greater than our fear of that first step?"
At the age of 39, I made the decision to return to school and in the fall will start my last year toward an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Retail which I received in May 1013. I want to work in the marketing field. I am going on to a 4 year Bachelor’s degree. I am actually enjoying college. I think going back to school later in life; you develop a new appreciation for education, and its benefits.
Besides school, I love outdoors. I love going swimming, walking, going to outdoor concerts and movies, and just sitting outside enjoying nature. I also love photography. I am not great at it but it is fun capturing pictures of nature, like a squirrel eating a nut, a strike of lightening, or even different cloud formations.
I am a mother to one great son, Brandon, who is 19 and is employed at Arby's. He is in a band that he and a few friends formed “From the Middle” (Check them out on FB). He is currently volunteering at the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame here in Kannapolis. He loves music.
